WLIB: “Play Them or Pray for Them� Contest Rules, Release and Affidavit

Contest Description:
Listeners will be encouraged to log on to WLIB.com and vote “YES� (WLIB should play the song on the air) or “NO� (WLIB should not play the song on the air, but pray for the Contestant instead). The wining song will be aired on a selected day once in the morning and once in the afternoon. A new song will be featured on WLIB.com each week for the first 3 weeks of the month. The fourth week of the month will feature the winning Contestant.
Contest Rules:
- Only original songs will be considered. Original songs are those whose lyrics, musical score/composition, and recorded performance are independently created by the Contestant.
- Submit the full length of song and it must be received by either a link to an MP3 file or burned onto an audio CD. Also, Submit bio information and a digital photograph via email, to feature online, in the event you are chosen as the winning contestant.
- Submissions must be accompanied by a valid copyright registration obtained from the United States Copyright Office;
Or
If Contestant does not have a valid copyright registration, Contestant must read and sign the affidavit provided below acknowledging that the submission is an original song. Failure to sign and return the affidavit may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc. or WLIB. Affidavits of Contestants under 18 years of age must be countersigned by parent or legal guardian.
- Only Amateur Contestants are eligible. Contestant must not currently be or have ever been signed or affiliated with any record label. Contestant must also have not released a single and/or album.
- All Contestants must read and sign the “Release Agreement" provided below. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in Contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc. or WLIB. Release Agreement: (All Contestants must read and sign)
The Contestant's signature below constitutes his/her agreement to release, indemnify and hold harmless ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., WLIB, its officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries and its agents against any claim, including, without limitation, of copyright infringement or other misappropriation, arising from any acts or omissions in connection with the contest or its operation. Contestant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., WLIB, its officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries and its agents from any and all monetary liability arising from such claims including, but not limited to, any attorneys fees that ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., or WLIB may incur as a result from any claim arising from the airing or distribution of Contestant’s song in this contest. Except where prohibited, Contestant agrees to a promotional release granting ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc. and WLIB the right to use Contestant’s name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation.

I do hereby affirm that the song submitted is an original work and that I am the rightful holder of all the rights associated to ownership/authorship to the song. I further affirm that I am not signed or affiliated with any major record label and that I have not published or released a single or album.
